The PPP/PFI Challenge has raised well over £25,000 in the last 4 years for its chosen charities. We are delighted to be working with the charity SPARKS in 2009, the fourth consecutive year SPARKS has been chosen as the official charity for the PPP/PFI Challenge.
SPARKS is a charity dedicated to funding pioneering paediatric research with a single aim: Helping ALL babies to be born healthy and stay healthy. SPARKS is unique because we aren’t a single cause charity. We fund research across the whole spectrum of paediatric medicine, including childhood cancer, childhood arthritis, meningitis, club foot, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and all the risks associated with premature birth. These are just a few of the areas where SPARKS-funded doctors and scientists are leading the race to save lives.
SPARKS has already committed well over £14.6 million to fund over 181 groundbreaking research projects at leading hospitals and universities throughout the UK. That’s a record to be proud of. But there is still so much more we can achieve. Every year SPARKS still runs out of money before we run out of deserving projects seeking our help.
SPARKS is a registered charity No. 1003825
